Flashback: JR Smith Doesn’t Approve of LeBron’s $270 Sneakers

Back in 2012, J.R. Smith sat down with Sneaker Watch when he was playing for the Knicks, and he weighed in on LeBron’s $270 sneakers alongside his brother Chris. 

J.R., who now plays with LeBron on the Cavaliers, gave James props for the shoe design, but added that people are getting killed over the more coveted sneakers like LeBron’s. J.R. followed up by saying that his mom would’ve never shelled out $270 for a pair of sneakers, and you can hear his full response above.
