Flashback: Killer Mike on Run the Jewels 3: Making it Meaner, Harder, and Angrier

In May of 2016, VladTV got together with Killer Mike to talk about Run the Jewels, Killer Mike’s project with producer and rapper El-P. Vlad asked Mike about how he keeps reinventing himself to stay at the top of his game. Killer Mike explained how he was able to get to the cutting age at a later stage in his career: “I’ve never stopped rapping, and I’ve never stopped to commemorate,” he said. When asked about Run the Jewels 3, Killer Mike previewed it by way of saying it would be, “Meaner, harder, and darker,” than anything before it.
