G Herbo Says Chief Keef’s ‘I Don’t Like’ Gave Kanye Chicago Cred Again

Chief Keef’s “Don’t Like” went mainstream, with the help of Kanye West, and G Herbo says the single was buzzing way before West planted his “genius” on it. The Chicago native told DJ Vlad, that the younger audience wasn’t really checking for Kanye’s music, and when rap’s OG collaborated with Keef, it helped him get his “Chicago cred” back. “He knew that was a hard song, when that song was buzzing in Chicago.” He said, “He wanted to get his Chicago cred back.” He explained that the streets weren’t gravitating towards Kanye’s music and the collaboration eventually helped him gain the attention of a younger audience, “What he did was jump on that, and got his name back in young n***** ears again.”
