Godfrey Doesn’t Expect White People to Get “Black Panther” (Part 1)

In this clip, Godfrey gave his take on the Black Panther film. Godfrey praised the film but pointed out the energy surrounding the film’s release as something he hasn’t experienced. He spoke about seeing scores of Black people repping Wakanda during the buildup to the movie and especially after its release.

Godfrey said that he plans to view the Black Panther multiple times because he sees it as homework. He believes that there are multiple layers to the film that need to be unpacked and analyzed.
