Godfrey opened up to VladTV about collecting comic books as a kid and never seeing the black characters have superhuman powers like the white characters. He also spoke about meeting Stan Lee, who told him that Blade was the first break-out Marvel movie. Godfrey commented on there being 20 years in between Blade and Black Panther, and how Hollywood seems to mess up good runs for black television and film. To hear more, hit the above video.
