https://www.vladtv.com – In junior high and high school, rapper Hopsin was placed in special education classes due to “really bad ADHD.” “ADHD is not a real thing to me, but that’s what they called my actions,” he says. “But to me that was just my instinct, and my body saying ‘you don’t belong in this environment.'”

The 30-year-old, Panorama City native felt ostracized by both White and Black people growing up, leading him to have mainly Mexican friends. Because he speaks properly he was categorized as a “certain type of Black” by other Black people. “They just felt the need to disown me kinda, and always try to like, fight me, so it was difficult growing up,” Hopsin remembers. He says “it still happens,” especially with Black women, but because he’s respected for having bars these days it hasn’t been too much of a problem.

Find out what else Hopsin had to go through growing up as he tells all in this exclusive clip.
