https://www.vladtv.com -Iowa State Police launched an investigation into one of their own when an off-duty cop wasn’t ticketed for going 92 mph in a 70 mph zone, The Des Moines Register reports.
The incident occurred some time last Monday but was never public information since there was no written report. Capt. Ken Clary was pulled over by another police officer for speeding. The off-duty cop was driving a van owned by the Special Olympics Iowa, a group he volunteers for. After he’s pulled over, Clary immediately gets out the car and shakes Trooper Bryan Guill’s hand. Clary then apologizes for speeding, the two shake hands and the officer is left going about his day.
Inquires led the police department to investigate the incident since he was not ticketed. Clark also violated a uniform policy. Clark was seen wearing his uniform while he was off-duty, a strict rule the force places on their officers. Clark was ticketed $110. Guill was not disciplined for his actions.
