Karyn Parsons, known widely for her role as Hilary Banks on The Fresh Prince, spoke openly to VladTV about her time on the show and her close relationship with James Avery, who played her father, Uncle Phil.

Karyn revealed that she became close with James after their dressing rooms were right next to one another on set, and she added that the father/daughter relationship extended off the set and beyond the show. The actress revealed that she and James ended up living in the same town after The Fresh Prince ended, and Karyn revealed that she saw James’ health decline in later years when she would see him in passing.
