Kevin Hart is Brutally Honest in His New Book ‘I Can’t Make This Up: Life Lessons’ + Learning from Legends in the Industry & Speaks on New Partnership With Lionsgate.
He dominated 2016 by earning more than $80 million, making him the highest-paid comedian of the year according to Forbes. Today on Sway in the Morning we chopped it up with stand-up comic-actor-producer Kevin Hart about his latest endeavors. Hart is adding the title of author to his resume with the release of his memoir “I Can’t Make This Up: Life Lessons,” which goes on sale tomorrow.
The 37-year-old opens up about his relationship with close family members, overcoming his mistakes and staying true to his journey in his new book. “I decided to tell a story that showed what helped develop me into the man that I am today.”
Hart speaks on meeting legendary manager and talent coordinator, Lucien Hold, of New York’s Comic Strip. Despite it being the biggest rejection of his career, Hart explains how he persisted and eventually created his own path (and that he has).
The man has a work ethic like no other. He’s partnered with Lionsgate to create a global platform for comedians “Laugh Out Loud Network.” He explains how he’s continually inspired by businesspeople and philanthropists around him. “Surround yourself with people that make you check yourself.”
