Lady Gaga’s latest release, “Perfect Illusion” is taking the charts by storm. Currently In the process of creating her new album which has yet to be named she joins Sway in the Morning to speak on the writing process of the record and just being a normal 30-year-old woman.

Keeping up with the constant illusion of her fame, Lady Gaga talks to Sway about the 15 seconds of craziness between stepping out of whatever place she’s in and making her way into a car. Once she’s alone again the fame is gone and she’s a regular person, she says. One of the many illusions of being a rock star.

Talking through the new single she says that the track is about love and lust and not really seeing the thing you’re falling in love with due to an illusion. Saying that love is the hardest drug out there she speaks on the frustration that it often brings.

Conceptualizing a girl at her concert with a Hanes tee shirt on, a child in one hand and a glass of wine in the other she talks about writing her album for the every day person. After she thought through who this person was she realized that she was thinking about herself. Talking about just wanting to sing at the top of her lungs and bang on the piano she says this album is a deep look into herself.

Working with the likes of Mark Ronson, Father John Misty and Florence Welch she opens up every collaboration being done together in the studio, a somewhat lost art form currently. She talks about Ronson’s ability to bring the best out of her without compromising as well as writing an empowering ballad with Welch.
