LeBron James: “Being Black in America Is Tough”

Early Wednesday morning, someone reportedly spray-painted the n-word on a gate outside of a Los Angeles home owned by LeBron James. LeBron responded to it later that day by speaking about the hate that many African-Americans still face on a daily basis in this country. He told reporters that “being black in America is tough” and briefly discussed Emmitt Till’s 1955 death and the reaction his mother had to it.
