https://www.vladtv.com – Lil Herb recently caught up with VladTV, and during the interview the Chicago drill rapper spoke on his song called “Put The Guns Down,” and also touched on how Minister Louis Farrakhan has been instrumental in driving the anti-violence movement the song is about.
“It’s a project put together to speak to the youth and talk about what’s going on in my city,” Herb said while speaking on “Put The Guns Down.” “Violence [is] not the way for everything, you feel me?” Continuing, Herb added, “If you really want to be successful, drill music isn’t gonna cut it for you. That’s the whole purpose of the song.”
After detailing the other artists on the song including King Louie, Common, and Katie Got Bandz, Herb briefly goes over his lyrics on the track and Minister Farrakhan’s involvement.
“He[‘s] awesome, phenomenal, like all the players he put together — he could have enemies that didn’t shed blood against each other or did something to other people in the same room…anytime the Minister put it together, I’m gonna be all for it,” Herb said.
