Lord Jamar spoke with VladTV right as it was announced that Prince’s cause of death was from an opioid overdose. When asked how he felt about the toxicology results, Lord Jamar revealed that he isn’t convinced by the media’s headlines.
During the conversation Lord Jamar also offered up his thoughts on Prince as a musician, revealing that while he respected his level of talent and his music, the Brand Nubian rapper wasn’t feeling the style he chose to wear. He added that he only saw the “funny style” guys in New York trying to emulate Prince’s style, but Lord Jamar told DJ Vlad that he did see a few guys rocking the Michael Jackson zippered leather jacket back in the 1980s.
