Right after Thanksgiving 2015, Charlamagne tweeted, “Fab dropped a tape? Why would I ever listen to Wayne right now when Fab dropped a tape?,” which started a back and forth between the famed radio host and Mack Maine. While Charlamagne was criticized for his comments, Lord Jamar told us that despite Charlamagne’s stance as a person in the media, he should be able to voice his opinion in public.

The Brand Nubian rapper explained that he believes that a slew of artists are used to getting their egos stroked by the media, and when that doesn’t happen they’re shocked. Lord Jamar went on to say that “we need to reward motherf***ers for being real, because that’s what the foundation [of hip-hop] rests on,” and you can hear more of his statement on the situation above.
