In this clip, LT Hutton goes in depth about the night Pac was shot in Las Vegas. According to LT, there were a series of events that happened prior to that night that placed Pac in the car with Suge. LT believes that a serious misunderstanding between Pac and Snoop led to himself and Snoop declining to accompany Pac in Vegas. LT implies that had they accompanied Pac, the events that led to Pac being shot would not have occurred. But LT gave some interesting insight to the thought behind Pac engaging with Orlando Anderson that night. As LT Hutton puts it, he believed Pac attacking Anderson was based on an idea of who Pac thought he had to be. Pac was such a complex person and LT thinks that complexity led to Pac making decisions to fulfill the personality his persona required. LT attributes this to the lack of a strong father figure in Pac’s daily life. He [Pac] derived his sense of manhood through piecing together particular attributes from three of the most influential people in his life: his mother Afeni, stepfather Mutulu Shakur, and a street hustler by the name of Legs. The somewhat contradictory nature of Pac’s personality could be ascribed to the people he pulled from to form his idea of manhood. But the complexities that Pac faced did not deter from his connection to the spiritual. As LT Hutton explains, his greatest conversation with Pac was about God and religion. He spoke about how Pac was unafraid of death which could explain the lyrics and imagery about death that Pac utilized.
