Lyfe Jennings on Leaving Prison Broke After Platinum and Gold Albums

Lyfe Jennings spoke openly about going to prison for four years and not telling any of his work associates, including Anthony Hamilton, whom he was supposed to go on tour with, and his label, Warner Brothers. Lyfe reveals that a lot of people weren’t down with him when he got out, which is why he was surprised when Mass Appeal offered him a deal.

During the interview, Lyfe also revealed that he was “broke” after getting out, despite having massive success with platinum and gold albums and touring. He also cleared up why he confronted David Banner about a Black Lives Matter panel, along with his thoughts on Donald Trump, which you can hear more about in the above clip.
