Mike G: Frank Ocean’s Coming Out Didn’t Surprise Me

https://www.vladtv.com – Odd Future rapper Mike G spoke to VladTV about Frank Ocean coming out in 2012, and he said that the news didn’t come as a surprise to him. After clarifying that he wasn’t calling the news before Frank came out, Mike said that the situation was specific to Frank’s life and it didn’t really affect him.

During the sit-down Mike also shared his thoughts on the possibility of gay rappers being a regular thing in Hip-Hop, and the West Coast emcee said that he can’t foresee it happening in the near future. He explained that there are still a lot of people who aren’t comfortable with the LGBTQ community, and Mike added that it would take a very confident person to make it as a mainstream gay rapper.
