Russell Westbrook Breaks Triple-Double Record & Solidifies Himself as NBA MVP

Russell Westbrook set a new NBA record for most triple-doubles in a season on Sunday when he recorded his 42nd triple-double of the year in a game against the Nuggets. In the process, he also appeared to solidify himself as the frontrunner to win the NBA MVP award this season. The old triple-double record was set back in 1962 by Oscar Robertson.
