Sneaker Reseller Busted With Over 1,600 Pairs of Fake Sneakers

It was all good just a week ago for James Pepion, the reseller behind the now-defunct get-supplied.com.
According to KOIN6, IRS and Homeland Security Investigations agents searched Pepion’s Happy Valley, Ore., home last week and seized thousands of counterfeit sneakers including 1,560 Nikes, 40 pairs of adidas, and seven ASICS sneakers. Pepion operated get-supplied.com, also known as Supplied PDX, from his home since May 2009, and investigators say he racked up $2,615,988 in PayPal sales during that time.
Nike opened an investigation into Pepion’s fugazi empire last March, sending a team of investigators to dig up dirt on the business. Along with the figures listed above, investigators discovered that Pepion received as many as 100 shipments from foreign countries between 2009 and 2015. “The imported items were from Hong Kong and China, and most were described as shoes or footwear,” a federal warrant said.
