As kids gathered to shoot hoops in a Louisville, Ky., neighborhood over the weekend, a 13-year-old girl noticed that a younger boy was being bullied over his shoes, and that’s when she stepped up to make a difference.
WDRB reports that 13-year-old Shaylynn Hampton hooked a kid up with brand new Nike LeBron James sneakers worth $200. “The little boys playing—before he had gotten here—were making fun of his shoes because they were not what you would call designer,” Hampton said.
Hampton retrieved the LeBrons from her own collection, which you can take a look at above. “They were clean and like brand new. I didn’t have anything to use them for,” she said of the sneakers.
Now, it’s safe to say that the sneakers are being put to good use. Watch it all go down here.
