If Australia wasn’t enough, Tyler, The Creator has now revealed that he’s not allowed to go to the United Kingdom for the next three to five years. Tyler broke the disappointing news to fans on Twitter when he announced a bulk of canceled shows in the near future. He later went on to explain that he’s not allowed back in the country based on some of his lyrics from back in 2009. As Tyler pointed out, he was just in England eight weeks ago, though the ban must have been put into effect between now and then.
Tyler’s manager, Christian Clancy, later posted about the issue on Tumblr, and said that they received a letter from the Secretary of State for Home Department of the United Kingdom. The full post can be read here, but in it, Clancy said that they wrote that Tyler’s work encourages violence and intolerance towards homosexuality.
