Virgil Roberts on Suge’s “Situation” with Eazy- E, Jimmy Iovine Giving Dre $1M

Famed music executive and attorney Virgil Roberts spoke openly to VladTV about the making of Dr. Dre’s highly acclaimed The Chronic album, which he said many labels didn’t want to touch after an incident surrounding Ice-T’s Cop Killer. However, things changed and Jimmy Iovine offered Suge Knight $1 million for the album. 

During the conversation, Virgil spoke about Suge admitting to pushing Eazy-E into signing Dr. Dre’s release papers from Ruthless Records, but he added that he didn’t know exactly what went on in the room. To hear more of what he had to say, hit the above clip.
