Atlantic Records signee, Kap G released his debut project, Like A Mexican, in March of 2014. The effort entailed what many would deem Kap’s break-out effort, the “Tatted Like Amigos (remix)” featuring Wiz Khalifa and Kirko Bangz. During his brief time in the spotlight, Kap has excessively pushed his platform as vessel to express the oppressions faced by Mexican-Americans. Raised in College Park by Mexican immigrants, Kap G proudly flaunt his heritage, deeming himself as the voice for his people. Kap G has recently been in the studio with Pharrell Williams. Watch above as he tells us why he should appear on the coveted XXL Freshmen list.
