Last week (April 14), Playboi Carti released his long-awaited self-titled mixtape for fans, which has been buzzing on social media. The Atlanta native is already moving on to more new music to give to fans, and he released a preview of a new song called “Real Rockstar” on Instagram Live this week.

The “Magnolia” MC was joined by his producer Pierre Bourne, where the two took to the social media platform to debut the new track live for fans. From what we can hear from the unreleased record so far, it sounds like the rapper-producer duo are both in their signature musical elements. From Carti laying down some of his mellow rhymes, to Bourne providing his hard-hitting instrumental to twist the song into a future party anthem, it sounds like fans will be ready to add the song to their summer playlists if it comes out in time.

Cash Carti is coming off of a high after the release of his Playboi Carti mixtape from last week. The project saw just three features out of the 15 total tracks, which included big names such as Lil Uzi Vert, A$AP Rocky and Leven Kali. Bourne was able to produce six of the total tracks on the mixtape, with other production credits including Harry Fraud, Roark Bailey and Southside.

Watch the video below to hear the new song from Playboi Carti and Pierre Bourne, which they debut at the 3:03 mark. Plus, read our in-depth interview with Bourne about producing for Carti, engineering for Epic and more.
