Siya & Sage The Gemini Live Lavish In New Video For “Watch What You Say”

Sisterhood of Hip-Hop cast member — and fire spitta — Siya recently released her album SIYAvsSIYA on Dec. 9. One of the project’s standout tracks, “Watch What You Say,” features Cali star Sage The Gemini.

Today (Dec. 19) the Brooklyn native gave VIBE the permission to premiere the song’s music video. Here, in the darkly lit visuals, overtones of illuminating red lighting fill the screen as Siya and Sage roll through their bravado-laden verses while mobbing inside of a mansion with the squad.

“On SIYAvsSIYA, I wanted to show the versatility I have musically,” Siya said via e-mail. “I wanted to be able to give the fans both sides of me: singing, rapping, doing lyrical music, keeping it street… just giving everyone what they deserve. But also, I wanted to show that I am my only competition. I’m a firm believer in you becoming your worst enemy over time. I think everyday as human beings we wake up with a chip on our shoulders someway somehow, trying to overcome the struggles that we’re going through. I’m definitely continuing to grow and learn day by day. It’s an endless evolution of who I am.”

SIYAvsSIYA comes a year after her Better late Than Never mixtape. Fans can cop the 16-track project over at iTunes and stream it below on Spotify.
