If you’re a YG fan and have been listening to his albums over the last couple of years, then you’re probably familiar with Slim 400. If not, the Compton, Calif. native is one of the flagship artists from YG’s 4Hunnid label. Last year, Slim released a low-key slapper with All Blassik, a seven-song mixtape that featured Sad Boy Loko, Redrum 187 and the “Toot It and Boot It” MC.

For 2017, Slim 400 is back with his new hit “Hol’Upppp” featuring A$AP Ferg. The new record is a bonus cut off of Slim’s upcoming Foe Block 2 that drops this Friday (March 17). You can pre-order the project now. Slim told XXL how the song was put together.

“The ‘Hol’Upppp’ track came about [when I was] recording with the homie Isaac Flame out of Atlanta,” he says. “One night in Los Angeles [I was] going through beats and clowning with my bros, talking about bitches, and out of nowhere A$AP Ferg facetimed me asking what I’ve been working on and to send it to him to jump on. He really jumped on [the song] being a real hitta.”

Bump “Hol’Upppp” below and get ready for Foe Block 2.
