Stream Run The Jewels’ ‘RTJ3’ Album
Fans of Run The Jewels woke up to an early Christmas gift. Instead of waiting another three weeks to drop their album on the given release date of Jan. 13, Killer Mike and El-P released the project last night. All is good in the world.
Making the announcement on social media, both MCs revealed the good news on Twitter. “Me and @KillerMike want to say thank you for everything and merry Christmas. look here for your gift ; ) #winkyface,” El-P tweeted.
“Your Xmas gift is The Free RT3 @ https://RunTheJewels.com,” Mike posted.
The album has no alterations from the previously released tracklist, and features guest appearances from Danny Brown, Trina, Joi, Tunde Adebimpe and Kamasi Washington. RTJ3 is the follow up to RTJ2, which dropped in 2014.
However, the album art did get an upgrade from previous projects. “For RTJ3 the bandages are off, the chain is gone and the hands have been transformed into gold,” Killer Mike and El-P stated via e-mail. “For us this represents the idea that there is nothing to take that exists outside of yourself. You are the jewel.”
You can stream the project on Apple Music below. Merry Christmas, you filthy animals.
