Troy Ave made a bold fashion choice for his latest court date. The Brooklyn rapper appeared in Manhattan Criminal Court for a pre-trial appearance today (Feb. 10) wearing a Donald Trump-style hat featuring the phrase “Bake Water and Whip Weight Again,” according to the New York Daily News.

Troy is selling the hats on his website for $200. The hat is similar in style to the “Make America Great Again” hats that were promoted during President Trump’s run for office last year.

The former XXL Freshman did get some good news at the hearing. Prosecutors agreed to overturn a ban that prevented Troy from touring as part of his bail conditions. Troy will only be allowed to perform if he’s accompanied by a security guard. All venues are required to search the New York MC and his fans, and Troy must return home within 24 hours.

“He has a couple of tour dates lined up,” Troy’s lawyer John Stella said. “They’ll start announcing them as early as (Saturday). He’s got an event in North Carolina that’s coming together. He’s very happy.”

Troy’s involvement in the May 2016 shootout at Irving Plaza in New York City that left Ronald “Banga” McPhatter dead resulted in attempted murder charges. The rapper’s lawyer believes the recent arrest of podcast personality Taxstone bolsters their self-defense case though.

“As we have said since May 25, 2016, Roland Collins (Troy Ave) did not enter Irving Plaza with a handgun the night of the T.I. concert,” John Stella said in a statement. “He was not responsible for the four shots fired inside the green room that took the life of his dear friend, [Ronald] McPhatter, and caused injury to him and two other innocent bystanders.”

Authorities used audio from Taxstone’s own podcast to help bring him in for an arrest on federal weapon possession charges. Tax was found guilty of attempted robbery in the second degree back in 2008, which makes him a felon prohibited from possessing a firearm.
