‘Unsolved’ Selects Wavyy Jonez & Marcc Rose As Biggie & Tupac

A new series that aims to take a close look at the murders of Biggie Smalls and Tupac is making its way to USA Network, and in anticipation of the program titled Unsolved, the company announced the actors who’ll step into the shoes of the famed lyricists.

Wavyy Jonez will make his first on-screen appearance as Biggie, while Marcc Rose will reprise his role of ‘Pac, who he portrayed in the the well-received Straight Outta Compton film. Unsolved will follow the basis of former LAPD Detective Greg Kading, Variety reports, who spearheaded multiple groups that were responsible for solving the influential artists’ deaths.

In 1996, Tupac was gunned down in Las Vegas in a drive-by shooting. A year later, Biggie was killed in Los Angeles by a still unidentified person. The cold cases of Biggie and Tupac’s passing will also be depicted on the silver screen in a film tentatively titled LAbyrinth. Viewers will follow LAPD Detective Russell Poole, played by Johnny Depp, as he gets engulfed in trying to solve the investigations.

This year also marks the 20th anniversary of Biggie’s passing.
