Meek Mill left the bright lights of Hollywood to return home. The Maybach Music Group reestablishes himself in his hometown of Philadelphia in the music video for “Left Hollywood,” which is directed by Will Ngo. The East Coast rapper reflects on his rough past, long before he found glory in rap.

“Really hurt my heart, ripped my feelings apart/Out in Philly it’s dark, we was really so scarred/But acting silly so hard, but we just wanted some love/Mama working, daddy dead, I just wanted a hug/Why you think we spilling spade when we go to the club/All my homies think I smoke, we just rolling it up/I’m stressed out, niggas got drugs feel left out/So I went to chasing them birdies, I went south, fuck it,” Meek raps.

“Left Hollywood” appears on Meek’s Meekend Music EP, a surprise release that arrived this past weekend. The MC continued to provide his fans with good news on Monday (May 8) when he announced the Against All Odds tour. Meek will join Yo Gotti in July for a 21-city tour.
