Forecast Summary:
A dry pocket of air will be with us through late this evening, before snow chances return after 10pm. An additional 1-3 inches of snow accumulation is possible overnight, with higher totals in the northwestern suburbs. Tonight, temperatures will rapidly fall as winds increase, with gusts over 40 mph. This will lead to blowing & drifting snow creating hazardous travel conditions overnight into Saturday morning.
