Former Delta Force operator Nicholas Irving openly discussed the staggering $50 million bounty placed on Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife’s heads by the U.S. government. In a recent interview, Irving confirmed that capturing Maduro would require inside intelligence, indicating a possible betrayal within the dictator’s inner circle. “I’ve been a comfortable snitch,” Irving remarked, comparing himself to notorious informants but emphasizing the lure of such a massive reward.
Irving also highlighted Delta Force’s track record in high-profile captures, recalling their roles in apprehending Saddam Hussein and Manuel Noriega alive for trial. When asked about China and Russia’s opposition to Maduro’s arrest, Irving dismissed their influence, stating their main interest lies in controlling Venezuelan oil contracts, and neither country currently has the power to intervene effectively.
With Maduro’s $50 million bounty doubling previous offers, the pressure mounts in this international manhunt that could reshape U.S.-Venezuela relations.
