In a candid interview, former Navy SEAL and boxing enthusiast Nicholas Irving expressed strong opinions about potential comeback fights involving legends Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao, and Mike Tyson. Irving, who has personal ties to Mayweather, admitted he has no interest in seeing a rematch between Floyd and Pacquiao, calling the idea “bullshit” and recalling their original 2015 fight as something that should have happened much earlier in their careers.
Regarding Mike Tyson, Irving was even more adamant that a return to the ring is unnecessary and unwanted. He criticized Tyson’s recent exhibition fight with Jake Paul as a stain on the boxing icon’s legacy and doubts anyone genuinely wants to see Tyson fight Mayweather at this stage. Both fighters are well past their primes, with Mayweather recently turning 49 and Tyson near 60. Irving believes the public prefers watching younger, hungry fighters rather than aging stars revisiting past glories purely for money or spectacle.
