When it comes to artists that strive to be recognised as singular entities within hip-hop, there’s nothing more frustrating than the public drawing parallels between them and their contemporaries. In order to better understand what’s transpiring, these attempts at comparison are made and for the most part, the rappers in question take them in their stride.

But for New York’s immaculately turned out kingpin ASAP Rocky and the Houston-raised, intergalactic traveller that we know as Travis Scott, the attempts to conflate the two has been a real bone of contention.
