Cameron Jerrell Newton is an NFL quarterback who is the league leader in career quarterback rushing touchdown and second in career rushing yards. He is an Atlanta native He played college football for the Auburn Tigers and he won the Heisman Trophy and 2011 BCS National Championship Game in 2011. He was the first pick in the 2011 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers. He was named the NFL’s Rookie of the Year in 2011 and the Most Valuable Player (MVP) in 2015. He is currently the host of his own show, the Funky Friday Podcast.
In this interview Marco starts off by asking Cam what he was like in high school and who was his high school sweetheart. Marco asks Cam to name three things he likes and three things he doesn’t like. Cam says he doesn’t like when flight attendants bother him while he’s sleeping on a plane, he doesn’t like when people sneak to do things, and in-car gangsters. Marco engages with Cam on each of these topics. Cam turns it around and asks Marco if he would rather his text messages or his pictures get leaked from his phone. Marco asks Cam if he’s done more bad things or good things in his life. Marco asks Cam why the City Girls are his favorite rappers but Cam seems confused. The two go back and forth about their experiences meeting Dave Chappelle. Cam says he’s better than Marco at wearing shoes.
