Smokey Robinson Fires Back at Sex Assault Accusers
Four former housekeepers filed a $50 million lawsuit against legendary singer Smokey Robinson, accusing him of repeated sexual assault and rape over several years and alleging that Frances fostered a hostile and discriminatory work environment. The women, who remained anonymous, detailed disturbing incidents in their complaint, while also claiming wage violations and mistreatment; Robinson’s attorney has strongly denied the allegations, calling them “vile” and “false.” The plaintiffs’ lawyer says the women stayed silent for years due to shame and fear, while Robinson is expected to seek dismissal of the lawsuit.
