My Thoughts Jade Cargill's WWE Brand Reportedly Revealed; Former AEW Star Expected At FASTLANE

We finally have some news on where Jade Cargill is heading in WWE, but with this weekend’s Fastlane PLE fast approaching, is that there we’ll see the former AEW star make her debut? Read on for details…WWE has made a huge deal out of the fact they’ve signed former AEW star Jade Cargill to a multi-year deal, and while she’s been training in the WWE Performance Center, the expectation is she’ll head straight to the main roster and not NXT.

Now, thanks to PWInsider, we have an update. According to the site, the current plan is for Jade to be part of RAW; that puts her on the same show as wrestlers like Rhea Ripley, Nia Jax, and Raquel Rodriguez, suggesting some hard-hitting bouts are in her future.

Also of note is the fact Jade is going to be backstage for this Saturday’s Fastlane PLE. She’s also scheduled to be at SmackDown, but her presence at these shows doesn’t necessarily mean she’ll appear on camera.

At Fastlane, for example, the only women’s match is Iyo Sky vs. Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair for the WWE Women’s Championship. That’s a SmackDown title and with Cargill heading to RAW, it wouldn’t exactly make sense for her to get involved.Cargill is a huge get for WWE and her joining the sports entertainment giant is believed to have left AEW President Tony Khan reeling.

“I knew Jade’s contract had been ticking down and we were talking about a new contract and I was very interested in Jade coming back and we were having a negotiation,” he revealed during the WrestleDream media scrum. “I made a very big offer and I thought it was a very fair offer. I think she was considering it, and then she asked for a bigger offer and then I went up again, and I kind of thought that was going to do it.”

“Then, it didn’t, which I was surprised because to be honest, I came up to a number that was higher than her original ask. I don’t know what I would have had to do at that point. I was a little surprised,” Khan added. “I did really hope that Jade would be back.”

Despite that, he has wished her all the best but it’s easy to see why Cargill ultimately decided to take her shot at the big time in WWE. The last time she wrestled for AEW was on the September 15 edition of Rampage when she lost to TBS Champion Kris Statlander.
