Teacher Caught Asking 12-Year-Old for Nude Photos
A 27-year-old Albuquerque middle school teacher, Julian Gunther, was arrested after police executed an early morning search warrant tied to an undercover investigation in which he allegedly sent explicit messages and images to someone he believed was a 12-year-old girl. As officers cleared the home, where a 4-year-old child was also present, authorities uncovered additional allegations, leading to both federal charges for online exploitation and a separate state case involving abuse of the young child living in the home. Gunther later pleaded guilty to a state charge and now faces significant prison time, with his sentence tied to the outcome of his federal case. Law&Crime’s Elizabeth Millner goes Inside the Crime.
