Teen Killed Random Woman on Family Vacation: Police
Seventeen-year-old Deven Young is accused of brutally murdering paddleboarder Sunshine “Sunny” Stewart on July 2nd in Maine while on vacation with his family. After a two-week manhunt, investigators arrested Young, who allegedly misled police during the search and gave conflicting stories; Stewart was found with blunt force injuries and signs of strangulation. Now being held in a youth detention center, Young may be tried as an adult, with prosecutors pushing for the harsher sentencing possible under Maine law. Law&Crime’s Chris Stewart is On the Case.
