Teen Revenge Plot Ends in Mom’s Murder
A young mom stopping at a gas station on the way to Top Golf was gunned down in a hail of bullets after a group of teens allegedly mistook her car for the people who had robbed them. Newly released interrogation videos show the teenage suspects, including mastermind Diamond Salazar and shooters Ty Gallegos and Estevan Lucero, trying to dodge detectives’ questions as police closed in on the deadly revenge plot. The teens later pleaded guilty or took plea deals in the murder of Kayla Montano, with sentences ranging from 10 to 22 years behind bars. Law&Crime’s Chris Stewart is On the Case.
