Tommy explained that the scene was never rehearsed, but directors wanted them to go ahead and do their first kissing scene on film. Tommy added that Will stepped to him in his trailer, which threw him off, given their friendship. However, Tommy later realized that it was over Jada being uncomfortable about the kissing scene, which Will and Jada confirmed while Tommy was writing his book, “Living in Color: What’s Funny about Me.”
