Tony Yayo on BMF, Young Thug, Gunna, TI, Tory & Megan, 50 Cent, Kanye, Takeoff (Full Interview)
In this full-length interview with Tony Yayo, the NYC-based rapper shares his thoughts on the Tory Lanez verdict. He said that if he were in Tory’s shoes, he would’ve copped a plea deal to avoid risking losing the case at trial. He also talked about some similarities between Tory’s situation and what Shyne had to deal with after his case. Then, Tony Yayo talks about the difference between a woman taking the stand and a man taking the stand. Tony explained how all the signs pointed toward Tory being found guilty before the trial even started.
Elsewhere in the interview, the conversation shifts to the codefendants in the YSL RICO case taking plea deals, and Tony Yayo explained that when it comes to Gunna, the video of him in court didn’t look good for his career. Tony then added that it’s unclear if there’s a conversation between Gunna and Young Thug about taking a plea, and he said the video made it rough on Gunna on his first day out.
Moving along, DJ Vlad spoke to Tony Yayo about his conversation with Gunna’s lawyer, Steve Sadow, and Tony explained that the court footage of Gunna was a “major blow” to his street cred. Vlad then added that Sadow told him that Gunna’s plea deal can’t hurt his codefendants, and Tony stated that he still rocks with Gunna, unlike the streets. Moving along, DJ Vlad spoke about Tory Lanez facing 23 years in prison, and Tony stated that the judge could’ve let him spend Christmas with his family. Vlad then asked Tony if he thinks Gunna can get back to the level he was at, and Tony explained that the streets and the internet don’t have any compassion. Tony added that people with nothing will judge millionaires who fumble the bag, and he added that people would love to be in the position of someone like Tory before the incident in 2020.
Lastly, Tony Yayo shares his thoughts on the culture that helped create Bronx Drill before talking about Kay Flock’s current legal predicament.
