Cassidy Speaks On The Lox vs Dipset Battle! The battle for New York begins when The LOX, Dipset and Dipset lock in for a Verzuz matchup.
In what can only be described as a historic match-up, The LOX and Dipsethave been confirmed to be facing off in the next Verzuz. Both parties are New York’s most prominent groups and have amassed amazing catalogs over the years. They also boast a number of classic records under each banner.
The battle will take place Tuesday, August 3rd. it will take place at Madison Square Garden at 9:00 PM EST to make the event even more New York. As has become tradition, drinks will be handled by Ciroc; one has to wonder if Jadakiss will be recreating his iconic dance number.The Diplomats are not the only hip-hop group to emerge from New York City. Styles P, Jadakiss and Sleek Luuch founded the LOX in 1994. After hearing their demo tape, Sean “Puff Daddy”, Combs signed them to Bad Boy Records. They have since released two studio albums.
A series of hip-hop faceoffs revealed that two legendary New York bands, the Lox (a.k.a. Dipset) were among those taking part in the series. The next competitor will be Diplomats. The Yonkers crew of Jadakiss, Styles P, and Sheek Louch and Harlem crew of Cam’ron, Jim Jones, Freekey Zekey, and Juelz Santana will trek downtown to Madison Square Garden, where they’ll play hits at the arena’s smaller Hulu Theater on August 3.
