The TBS Women’s Championship is here, there can only be one winner, and she’s that b*tch!

AEW revealed the TBS Women’s Championship, or a I like to call it, the Jade Cargill belt. You don’t have to take my word for it, Jade Cargill herself has even coined her own acronym for TBS: That B*tch Show. Assuming the undefeated Cargill stops short of beating Britt Baker for the AEW Women’s Championship, she’d have a soft landing by winning the AEW Women’s Tournament in January, thereby being crowned the first-ever TBS Women’s champion.

Jade Cargill is perfect for this title. In a crowded, yet under-showcased women’s division, the TBS Title offers up a vehicle for Jade Cargill to finally begin to develop as what she has always been destined to be in AEW, one of its top stars, man or woman. The Ruby Sohos and Thunder Rosa’s of the world will be fine. They have built-in credibility with the Internet Wrestling Monolith that dominates AEW’s audience, and don’t necessarily need a championship to maintain it.

Jade Cargill is still very early in her development, but all AEW has to do is book her in predominately quick matches that hide her current limitations in the ring—which don’t mean sh*t in the grand scheme of building a transcendent star that men and women and us can enjoy. Hell, a string of quick, dominant wins was the formula used for the otherwise experienced Miro, and it worked like a charm in taking him from an AEW punchline—as “The Best Man,” alongside Kip Sabian—as The Best Man, to arguably AEW’s most effective champion in 2021. All AEW really has to is follow that model with Jade, and she’ll do the rest and then some.

As one of the rare black wrestlers getting a real push near the top of an AEW division, Jade Cargill is a wrestling promoter’s dream. In fact, Jade has a key ingredient common among most black wrestlers who get pushes at this level of pro wrestling, in that she’s a living, breathing superhero.

Cargill has easily the most impressive physique of any woman in AEW. Her staggering size and all-world athleticism give her the bare minimum traits that black wrestlers have to have before getting any serious consideration of a main event push. Jungle Boy is currently getting a push based on hope and potential despite being very weak on promos and having a smaller, unspectacular physique. If Jade Cargill looked like Jungle Boy, she’d be—well, Big Swole. Who, despite her talents, is currently hidden on AEW Dark. Forget Jungle Boy, if you’re black and you want to be in the main event, you’ve got to be the King of the Jungle.

This isn’t a phenomenon that’s exclusive to AEW, by the way. WWE has done a great job in recent years pushing black talent, but they had to be superheroes too. Like Bobby Lashley, who has the greatest physique I’ve ever seen in pro wrestling. Or Kofi Kingston, who’s done things in a WWE ring that nobody has ever seen. When all is said and done, he’ll be a Top 5 athlete in WWE history. The rest of that Top 5 will be occupied by Montez Ford and Bianca Belair, who absolutely crushed the WWE PC Combine, and left no doubt that they’re the most athletic couple in WWE history. Seriously, if they have a child, and he isn’t an Olympian by Age 10, he’ll have been behind in his development. By the way Bianca’s EST gimmick is symbolic of what every black person has to be in order to get a serious push in national pro wrestling. She’s not the only black wrestler who had to be the quickEST, the fastEST or the strongEST before her dreams came true. Current WWE champion Big E is one of the strongEST men to ever walk through the doors at WWE.

Lucky for Jade Cargill, and all those muscles, she exceeds every unrealistic expectation necessary for us to be taken seriously in the main event. And that’s why Jade is the perfect fit to become TBS champion.
