YouTuber Murdered Rival Creator on Livestream Over Copyright: Cops
An online rivalry between YouTubers Manuel Ruiz and Rodney Finley turned deadly when Ruiz allegedly shot and killed Finley and his wife, Tanisha, during a livestream on the Las Vegas Strip. The two go by SinCity-MannyWise and Finny Da Legend on YouTube. Police say the two men had a long-standing virtual feud fueled by copyright disputes and personal tensions, which culminated in the fatal shooting. Ruiz, who claimed self-defense, is now facing two counts of murder and remains in custody without bail. Law&Crime’s Kennedi Walker has the details.
