Former Badboy artist G-Dep Calls The Hip Hop Uncensored Podcast From Prison To talk Diddy, the petition to free him from prison early, his new music and what he has planned when he is released. G-dep also discusses his mental state after going to prison for a murder he committed and admitted too almost 30 years ago. He started rap with the label Tape Kingz and released 2 vinyls in 1995 and 1996. After meeting with Sean Combs in 1998, G. Dep was signed to a $350,000, five-album deal with Bad Boy Records. In the next year, he appeared on two songs on Black Rob’s 1999 debut album Life Story. G. Dep released his debut solo album Child of the Ghetto in 2001. Child of the Ghetto peaked at #106 on Billboard 200 and #23 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.Single “Special Delivery” from the album peaked at #59 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and #3 on Hot Rap Singles.
G. Dep was subsequently dropped from Bad Boy Records. G. Dep and Loon released independent album Bad Boy in 2007. He released his second album Ghetto Legend on September 7, 2010 with Famous Records. #gdep #diddy #badboy #puffy
