Bruno Mars’ “That’s What I Like” Music Video Is Here

Bruno Mars announced he had “a lil sumn sumn” in store for fans on Wednesday. And, thankfully for us, he delivered on his promise.

The 31-year-old crooner rolled out the official music video for “That’s What I like,” the latest hit single off his third studio album 24K Magic — just hours after his cover story for the latest issue of the Wall Street Journal’s WSJ magazine was unveiled.

Bruno sang “That’s What I Like” at the 2017 Grammys, a stellar performance that catapulted the track to the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot R&B Songs chart. It was a big accomplishment for the singer, as it marked his first song to lead that chart. (24K Magic’s title track peaked at No. 2 on the Hot R&B chart in December.) The though song’s throwback vibe and ad-libs make it stand out, “That’s What I Like” adheres to the album’s main theme: sex—specifically, sex by the fire.

“For me, 95 percent of music is about love,” Mars said in a NME interview. “That’s why cavemen were hitting stones to get everybody around the fire and get them feeling sexy. It’s exactly the same principle, the same thing: just get people on the dance floor, get the girls smiling.”
