Barack Obama To Take Home 2017 JFK Profile In Courage Award
Though more than a month removed from his eight years in office, Barack Obama’s imprint on the American people is ever-present. According to NBC, the former president was crowned the winner of the 2017 John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award on Thursday (Mar. 2).
Caroline Kennedy, the only surviving child of the 35th POTUS, will present Obama with the esteemed honor on May 7 at Boston’s John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, alongside her son Jack Schlossberg.

“President Kennedy called on a new generation of Americans to give their talents to the service of the country,” she said in a statement. “With exceptional dignity and courage, President Obama has carried that torch into our own time, providing young people of all backgrounds with an example they can emulate in their own lives.”
Ahead of the event, the self-proclaimed Mr. Hope jumped on Twitter to share his thoughts on his latest accolade. “Humbled to be recognized by a family with a legacy of service,” he wrote.

As Barack and former First Lady Michelle Obama move forward with their Obama Foundation, the dynamic duo is also gearing up to seal their legacy on paper via a colossal book deal with Penguin Random House.
