Drake, Kendrick Lamar and More Nominated for 2017 BET Awards
When it comes to award shows with hip-hop categories, neither the game nor the faces and names ever seem to really change—or at least, they haven’t over the last four to five years. So it wasn’t at all surprising to learn Drake and Kendrick Lamar were among the names listed as nominees for the 2017 BET Awards.
Drizzy, a guy who continues to break records seemingly every month, will be up for two awards at the star-studded awards show, including Best Male Hip-Hop artist and the Coca-Cola Viewers’ Choice Award. K. Dot, whose DAMN. album made even more waves than people thought possible, is also nominated for Best Male Hip-Hop Artist and Best Collaboration (“Freedom” with Beyoncé).
Also included in the list of nominees are Big Sean, J. Cole, The Weeknd, Migos, Missy Elliott, Remy Ma, Young M.A, DJ Khaled, Fat Joe, Lil Wayne, 21 Savage, Chris Brown, Future, Nicki Minaj and more. Peep the entire list for yourself below.
