https://www.vladtv.com – The infamous Uncle Luke of 2 Live Crew sat down with Atlanta’s Hot 107.9 radio host, B High, during his promotional tour for “The Book of Luke.”
During the interview he discusses his life with the Miami crew and the troubles they faced while on the rise. 2 Live Crew wasn’t widely accepted as they paved a lane for southern hip-hop, especially in New York City. “Guys in New York was not having it,” Uncle Luke remembers while speaking on his past rap beefs. “When you read this book, you’ll read about me having a big fight with Run DMC, and that’s when I made the song ‘We Want Some P****.’ That was basically because they was acting like p’s.”
Uncle Luke – who was “about that life, for real” – hopes rappers involved in beefs today will use his book as an “educational tool.” “I don’t know what they got going on now. You know, that’s like rated PG,” he states, presumably referring to Drake and Meek Mill. During his talk with B High he also speaks on his altercation with Snoop Dogg, Suge Knight and Death Row Records, while explaining Freaknik’s demise due to friction with police. Press play for more.
